A SOUND BATH is an invitation and gateway to deep meditation and relaxation. You can expect to be enveloped in a full-body listening experience that is deeply therapeutic. Carlin will use a variety of instruments including crystal singing bowls and voice to guide you through this meditative experience.

THE EXPERIENCE

Everyone will experience sound in a unique and personal way.  It can be completely passive and you may fall asleep relaxing to the sound. You may enter a meditative state and feel your system rebalancing.  You may feel ‘floaty’ or notice thoughts and feelings coming into clarity.  We encourage you to take care of yourself - if you need to roll over, shift or even get up during the sound bath, take care of your needs, but be mindful of your fellow participants.  The most important thing to remember is to arrive on the mat with an open heart and mind.

Soft Props and Padded Chairs available.
Feel welcome to bring your own blanket and pillow.

MEET CARLIN

CARLIN DANNER grew up in Tiverton, RI and was very involved in music throughout school.  He played on oboe in the Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic and at Providence College. He also played tenor and baritone saxophone.  Many years later, he experienced his first sound bath in Joshua Tree at The Integratron.  The therapeutic nature of a sound bath gave him color visuals and felt like massage.  This reignited his love for music and all of it's healing properties.

In 2022, Carlin began his work in learning sound therapy under Sara Auster based in Brooklyn, New York.  Her work is focused on experimentation of sound and it's healing while bringing these experiences to everyday listeners.  With Sara, he learned about a wide variety of healing instruments and their uses.  Since completing his training, Carlin has been holding space for sound healing in Rhode Island and now on the south coast of MA at Sangha Yoga NB.

During the day, Carlin works as a special education administrator.
